CyBike develops applications in the context of the “Internet of Things” (IoT) using the latest mobile technology (NB IoT) in order to transform products, services & support into holistic solutions. First we have developed solutions for the bicycle market – a market which is only just at the edge of digitalisation due to the rapid sales of E-bikes. But we think further – through our expertise & network with companies and universities we can scale thematically, technologically and in terms of personnel as required to develop the most innovative solutions for the most diverse markets. What we have developed today for the bike market is the basis for new products in new markets.

Our technology & product portfolio
The use of the latest mobile technology “NB IoT” with its extremely low energy consumption (and in the future positioning even without GPS), coupled with high-performance IT solutions, makes applications possible that were previously unthinkable. The technology we use is particularly suitable for high-quality products that have no or limited energy supply of their own – be it bicycles (whether bikes or E-bikes), scooters, motorbikes, wheelchairs, boat drives, campers, trailers, art… “the brain is the limit”.
Digitalisation
Digital services and personalised services around high-quality products bundled in a multi-branded App. On an ‘app price per product or download’ basis.
With CyBike any digital services & personalised services around high quality products are bundled in a “white-label” app – we first developed it for the bike and E-bike market. Using a QR code, product-specific data and services are loaded digitally and personalised into the app and you as the manufacturer are directly networked with your end customers. CyBike’s modular IT architecture enables a modular logic of the service functions, i.e. the services and functions are freely selectable and can be changed and extended at any time. Should I now have an app developed by myself? When soliciting offers and awarding contracts, the high follow-up costs for the integration of later functions and services…up to the operation, maintenance and servicing of a high-performance application are often disregarded. Instead of having to make high investments for the development, operation and maintenance of your own app, we offer a Software as a Service (SaaS) approach – with a quantity-based “fee per product” or app download, which can be covered by the current marketing budget.
Insurance
Innovative (EU-wide) insurance solutions for high value goods such as bikes & E-bikes with interface to all digital media of the manufacturer. Ideal for promoting sales and increasing turnover.
If one is able to locate high-quality products and determine their condition, completely new concepts for insurance solutions can be realised. Based on our previous solutions for the bicycle market, we are working with the largest and most innovative insurers in Europe on ever more insurance and service concepts up to “all-inclusive carefree packages”.
Theft protection
Anti-theft and tracking modules based on the latest mobile technology (NB IoT) for fixed installation and retrofitting. Target market: high-quality products, especially those without own energy supply.
Previous security and tracking solutions have one problem: they require quite a lot of energy and – since positioning via GPS is necessary – invisible and therefore tamper-proof installation is hardly possible.
We have specialised in the latest mobile technology – the worldwide standardised “Narrow Band IoT” – which, in addition to a factor 100 lower energy consumption and a factor 100 higher signal sensitivity compared to previous GSM solutions, will soon make it possible to determine a position without GPS, purely by the mobile network.
Coupled with the possibility of a one-off usage fee for mobile communications (‘lifetimefee’), applications in the field of ‘white goods’, for example, are now possible which were previously unthinkable. We will successively expand our specially developed technology for theft protection in the bicycle sector into other markets and segments.
