The module is suitable for installation in handlebars from an inner diameter of minimum 17.5 mm and thus fits in most of the handlebar types in common use today.
The length of the module (body) is approx. 11 cm – important for assessing suitability for curved (racing) handlebars.
In contrast to the outer diameter of a handlebar, the inner diameter of the handlebars is not standardised.
These depend on the respective manufacturer, material and manufacturing process.
We use one of the smallest electronic chips currently on the market and were thus able to develop a module with an outer diameter “body” of 17.5 mm. An O-ring is added to the module to “dampen” shocks etc., so that when it is mounted, a module diameter of 18.5 mm is created. This means that the module fits into handlebars with an inner diameter of 18.5 mm or more (17.5 mm in an emergency) and thus fits into most of the handlebars in common use today. If the inner diameter of the handlebars is even bigger, you can ” tape ” some more turns around the module to minimize the distance “module – handlebar inner tube”. If in doubt, measure briefly before buying.
